Boracay Information

Boracay is the most popular vacation destination in the Philippines. Boracay is certainly a gay friendly place to visit. In December 2010 Rainbow Rooms became the first “official gay-friendly” Boracay hotel. Our plan is to keep it full so that it is becomes a dedicated, gay Boracay hotel. Below are some of the better things to do and see whilst on the island:

 daytime activities in Boracay LGBT
Daytime in Boracay:
  • Enjoy the beautiful white sand and clear water
  • Take a scenic paraw (sailing boat) trip at sunset
  • Hire a buggy and drive to the highest point of the island and visit the small zoo
  • Jet ski, banana boat, parasailing, scuba diving and many more water sports
  • Take a boat trip around the island or to Ariel's Point for cliff diving
  • Pamper yourself in the brand new Bella Isa Spa
  • Play a round of golf on the island's excellent course

gay bar boracay nightlife
Nightime in Boracay:
  • Start with an exotic cocktail on the beach at sunset
  • Dine at one of the many beachfront restaurants serving every world cuisine
  • Take a disco nap before hitting the bars
  • Dance the night away in the bars (Juice Bar is popular with gay crowds)
Boracay residents are a friendly bunch and will be happy to give you advice on specific activities and restaurants. There are detailed maps available for free all over the island too. If you have any questions or tips about Boracay please comment below.

If you need specific advice just ask the Rainbow Rooms staff, who will be happy to inform you of prices and various activities to suit your needs. There is lots to do on the island, many people end up staying longer than expected. It is very easy and cheap to extend by changing flights at a nearby travel agent.

  2. As a Boracay resident it is great to see your gay hotel here. I agree with the article, the island is gay friendly. The only exception would be Club Paraw in station one which discriminates against homosexuals. There are lots of other great places to drink and dance at night.

  7. We stayed at room 2W, it was large enough for the 4 of us. Joanne was very accommodating and she made us feel like we're at home. Our short stay in the island was really memorable. Hope we can go back there this summer. Thanks a lot!
